Frequently Asked Questions
Do I receive a paper certificate upon completing the program?
Yes, you will receive a paper certificate upon completing the program. Once you have completed all of the required courses, we ask that you send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org letting us know where to ship the certificate.
Can I put this on my resume and do companies recognize this program?
Absolutely. Many project managers hold one or two individual credentials. By completing the Master's Certificate Program you are setting yourself apart from the masses. It tells companies that you have completed a more comprehensive project management training program.
If you'd like to put your certificate on your resume, we recommend using the following format:
Project Management Academy - July 2013 -- Master's Certificate in Advanced Project Management
If I already have one of the certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP or Six Sigma) do I still have to complete those courses?
If you have already earned your PMP or PMI-ACP credential from PMI or a Six Sigma Green Belt from IASSC, then you can get an exemption. Please email email@example.com to request an exemption. You will be required to provide evidence that you earned the credential already and you must still be in good standing.
Do I have to pass the PMP, PMI-ACP exams to complete the program?
No. Program completion is based on completing the required series of courses. While we do recommend that you take advantage of the exam prep tools and training along the way, your status in the Master's Certificate Program is not affected by these other exams.
No, there is no need to take a final exam. Once you successfully complete all courses in the program, you earn your certificate.
