You should refer to the Project Implementer and Roles and Responsibilities tools located within your program to help guide you through the Six Sigma stages. Your project will be due within 6 months of completing this course and should:
- Be valued against other possible projects (and scored against its realistic ability to be carried out)
- Have a well detailed Project Charter
- List in detail the DMAIC/DMADV steps taken through the course of the project.
- Use data collection and analysis tools consistent with the course materials for the DMAIC or DMADV methodologies and include graphical analysis and displays adequate to show how you arrived at our root cause conclusions, problem solving and solution generation.
- Data comparisons between the current state and future state conditions pertinent to your project problem statement and project goals should be displayed in a fashion that shows your logic and that can be followed by a project reviewer without lengthy investigation or additional computations by the reviewer.
- Theoretical or actual projects can be submitted however, both theoretical and actual projects will be subject to the same level of scrutiny as to their validity toward a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
You are encouraged to be sure to carry out projects in straight-forward manner. One of the primary keys to a successful six sigma project is to adhere to the simple structure of DMAIC/DMADV.
